The New You

Look at yourself carefully in a mirror. What do you see? If you are like a lot of people, you are seeing your ‘before’ picture. Most of us have something that we would like to improve on. Maybe you want to feel better, or look better or increase your self-esteem. Whatever the reason, here’s your chance to make it happen.

MoveIt4.org is a community for teens just like you who want to learn how to live healthier and more active lives. We’ll show you how you can make good choices about your health and fitness. You’re sure to see and feel the results in just a few weeks!

First Steps

Let’s start off by taking an honest look at where you’re at. Most likely, you want to look and feel the best you can. It doesn’t matter what your past lifestyle, your age, how you look or feel, or any other obstacle - there’s always room for improvement when it comes to health and fitness. Acknowledging this is the first step!

Challenge yourself to be the best you can be and to personalize the program to your unique personality. Don’t bother trying to be like someone else. If there are people who can be an inspiration to you, great! Keep in mind, though, that you are an amazing and unique individual. You just want to improve yourself! It’s really not that hard once you get started, and the MoveIt4 community is here to help, so use us as a resource.

Think about the people you admire who are successful at what they do. Every one of them had a clear goal. They knew what they wanted, where they were going and how to get there. Every one of them found a community/individual that they could trust to help them get where they wanted to be. They’ve made specific life choices and did all the hard work required to make it happen. Keep the person you look up to in mind when setting and achieving your goals.

Set Your Goal

Get specific in your goal setting. What do you want? Here are some ideas to start you thinking: to feel more energetic, to feel better about yourself, to be thinner, to be more athletic, to build healthier habits, to look better, to learn how to make good life choices. Pick the goals that work best for you and be specific - you’ll succeed more if the goals aren’t too general.

Answer these questions honestly. It might help to write your goals down on a piece of paper and keep it where you can see it often.

  • What do you ultimately want?
  • What will you look like, feel like, and be like when you have reached your goal?
  • What are the steps you are you going to take to make it happen?

MoveIt4 helps you in your goal setting and planning your custom program. Here you’ll find the support you need. You have our online community where you can interact with people who can identify with you. You would benefit even more by bringing a friend to MoveIt4 so you can support each other to success!

A Healthier and Fun New Lifestyle

We are bombarded by the media on the latest health, exercise or diet craze. Everyone seems to spout their own hype, telling you how you should look, feel, and how to live your life. If you are like many teens, not happy with the way you look for whatever reason, MoveIt4.org will help you make the right choices so you can lose fat, gain muscle mass, or just “firm and tone”, by keeping you motivated in ways you can enjoy.

MoveIt4.org gives you a lot of choices, and then it’s up to you to decide how you want to shape your self-improvement. We provide you with valuable information and tools, as well as a supportive community to help you stay healthy and make your own choices. MoveIt4 is easy to understand, unique to your individual needs, interactive and above all - FUN.

Nutrition and Exercise - A Winning Combo

You can reach your goals by simply giving your body what it needs: regular activity, healthy food and vitamins. It’s important to eat right and be active every day. Getting out and doing something physical get endorphins (good-feeling chemicals) flowing through our brain.

Nutrition also plays a huge part in how we feel. In fact, up to 60% of the positive results you will have in your outlook on life and body image will come from a positive change in your eating habits. For most of us, good eating habits are the main reason for increased energy and vitality.

Just eating right alone will help you look better, feel better and perform better, but if you really want lasting results, regular, fun exercise is a must. Exercise in combination with eating right will give you lasting results. This creates an energy machine out of your body and mind!

Starting an exercise program is a lot easier than you think. There are many cheap and easy ways to get moving. Many gyms have great classes that are a lot of fun. Even the new video games out now help get you active and are really fun!

Any increase in daily movement will be good for you (playing your favorite sport, skateboarding, riding your bike, mountain biking, brisk walks, climbing stairs, etc.) Increase your movement and eat healthy and you’re headed in the right direction!
